Swiss Ace Doubles Up at Kranji

Swiss Ace has been a loyal servant of Westbury Stud and he continues to be a reliable source of success with a pair of his Singapore-based sons emphasising that on Sunday evening.

The progressive Ace Of Diamonds again sparkled at Kranji while Groovy also advanced his winning record.

The former was bred by Gerry Harvey and he completed a hat-trick of victories for trainer Ricardo Le Grange with Vlad Duric guiding him home in a Class 4 event over 1400 metres.

Ace Of Diamonds was purchased out of Westbury Stud’s 2022 at the Magic Million National Yearling Sale for A$100,000 by Sandy Javier.

A half-brother to four winners including Group performer Moeraki, he is a son of the More Than Ready mare Go Kate Go who has a yearling sister to Ace Of Diamonds.

The dam is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Kakakakatie and the family of elite level-winning siblings Bonanova, Fraternity and Telesto.

Groovy is prepared by Richard Lim and his latest victory in Class 5 company over 1200 metres was his fourth and completed two on the bounce for the four-year-old.

A $40,000 buy at New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready to Run Sale, he is out of the Captain Rio mare Kahala, who was successful on three occasions.

He is a brother to the multiple winners Kailani Sunset and Anduin with their dam a half-sister to Silent Achiever, who claimed four Group 1 victories.
