Ace Of Diamonds successfully returned from a break at Kranji on Saturday evening to continue the impressive start he has made to his career.
The Gerry Harvey-bred and sold son of Westbury Stud stallion Swiss Ace was placed in his first preparation before a spell and the posted a first-up victory in September over 1200 metres for trainer Ricardo Le Grange.
A trial between times had him ready to fire again on Saturday and produced a dominant performance to score over 1400 metres in the hands of Thangamani Krisna.
Ace Of Diamonds was sold through the Westbury draft at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale where part-owner Sandy Javier secured him for A$100,000.
He is a son of the More Than Ready Mare Go Kate Go, who is a half-sister to the two-time stakes winner Kakakakatie.
Their dam St Kate is a half-sister by Danehill to the Group 1 winners Bonanova, Fraternity and Telesto.
Go Kate Go has produced five winners, including El Roca’s Group-placed son Moeraki, and she has a two-year-old sister to Ace Of Diamonds and is due to foal again this season to Swiss Ace.
