Ace Performance on Cup Card

Swiss Ace made his presence felt on the G1 Hong Kong Gold Cup undercard at Sha Tin on Sunday evening.

His Westbury Stud-bred son Loyal Bo Bo opened his account in fine style over 1400 metres for trainer Frankie Lor and rider Keith Leung.

The lightly raced four-year-old had previously filled minor placings in three of his previous four appearances.

Loyal Bo Bo was a private purchase after winning trials on the synthetic track at Cambridge and at Avondale when in the stable of Stephen Marsh.

He is a half-brother to his former stablemate Miss Cartier, who has been successful on five occasions and the El Roca mare also has a black type placing to her credit in the Listed Flying Handicap.

Their dam is the More Than Ready mare Sacred Vow, who is from the immediate family of the G2 Great Northern Guineas winner Swissta.

Since Loyal Bo Bo, she has produced two fillies by Swiss Ace and is safely back in foal to the Group 1-winning son of Secret Savings.
