Lekvarte further boosted her future broodmare value when she turned her form around in fine style at Rosehill where the Westbury Stud graduate triumphed in Tuesday’s G2 Emancipation Stakes.
The daughter of farm resident Reliable Man wasn’t sighted when opening her campaign last month and showed impressive improvement to claim top honours in the 1500-metre fillies and mares’ feature.

“She’s done a fine job and it will be a sad day when she finishes up, she’s a lovely mare.”
Lekvarte was piloted by Josh Parr, who was winning on the six-year-old for the third time.
“She was remarkable and Joe gave me good confidence before the race, he said she was in great condition,” he said.
“I couldn’t believe the power she gave me to track up and then let go.”
Lekvarte has won on 11 occasions, including Group 3 successes in the Aspiration Handicap, Angst Stakes and the Belle of the Turf Stakes.
